Biochemical Engineer and Doctor of Science in Biotechnology Innovation. He was a Marie Curie Research Fellow and is currently a Ramón y Cajal Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Sustainable Processes at the University of Valladolid. He is the author of more than 60 scientific publications, co-inventor of three patents, and is supervising several doctoral theses in the field of anaerobic biotechnologies, with an emphasis on the production of biohydrogen, methane, and value-added compounds.
