The Spanish Biomass Association, organizer of the 2026 International Bioenergy Congress, invites researchers, academics, and professionals in the sector to submit their papers for the next edition of the congress.

This year, under the theme "Renewable Gases: Local Energy for a More Sustainable, Competitive, and Resilient Economy," we are focusing on the role of biomethane and other renewable gases in the energy transition. We will analyze their real impact on business competitiveness, energy security, and the decarbonization of industry, with concrete examples of their implementation in various sectors. Are we ready to harness their full potential and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels? The 19th International Bioenergy Congress is the place to discuss this.

The selection of papers will seek to encourage discussion on the Potential of renewable gases in the Spanish market; and technologies in renewable gases; he use of by-products from biogas generation; and international experiences; and social acceptance.
